About Joe List

FORMAL BIO WRITTEN FOR ME:

Born in the greater Boston area, comedian Joe List began his career in 2000 weeks after graduating from High School. His rapid ascent in the Boston club scene and quirky humor prompted the Boston Globe to profile him in 2005, describing him as
the “most talented” and “the city’s freshest new comedian(s), showing real promise, real early”.

List moved to New York City in 2006, becoming a favorite at clubs across the city. He tours as the preferred feature act for Comedy Central’s Nick DiPaolo in addition to his own shows in clubs and colleges. 2007 saw List perform at the prestigious HBO Las Vegas Comedy Festival where his solid performance garnered industry attention and positive reviews.

List made his national television debut on Comedy Central’s Live at Gotham which premiered in July 2008.

List currently resides in New York City where he can be seen in the clubs regularly.

INFORMAL BIO WRITTEN BY ME:

My name is Joe List. I am a stand-up comedian from the quaint town of Whitman, Massachusetts. I graduated from Whitman-Hanson regional high-school in the year 2000. Shorly after that I started performing stand-up comedy in and around Boston, Massachusetts. Not too long after that comedy became my full time job. I enjoy it very much. I have performed in over 18 states (19). I have had the chance to work with as well as befriend some very talented people whom you may have heard of, namely: Dane Cook, Colin Quinn, Bob Saget, Gary Gulman, Brian Regan and Tracy Morgan. In 2006 I began traveling around the country with my friend and favorite comedian Nick DiPaolo. If you go to see Nick perform chances are you’ll see me first. I live in New York City and perform regularly at many of the best clubs in the city.  I have appeared on Comedy Central and I once performed at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas  as part of the HBO Comedy Festival. I was recently featured in a national Captain Morgan commercial called ‘The 4 Guys’. You can also see me in an upcoming ESPN commercial playing a University of Texas super fan due out this fall. Please check out my ‘Events’ page to see where and when I’ll be performing near you. Thanks for reading this, see you on the road. Bye Bye.
